Stemming from Christian rock roots in the cornfields of Northwest Ohio, singer-songwriter and guitarist Ben Vasko is making a splash with his latest project, The Stairwell. Driven by his powerful vocals and innate songwriting talent, the project has progressed from a mellower acoustic sound (The Quiet EP) to an aggressive alternative rock outfit featuring a full band (The Loud EP).
The Loud sees Vasko and company transforming and blossoming, trading in the mild-mannered guitar strumming for catchy leadlines, thumping percussion and crunchy riffs. Taking cues from contemporary alternative bands with a slight punky edge such as Anberlin, Sent by Ravens, Switchfoot, Relient K and others, The Loud is a brand new chapter for an artist with a bright future.
