Center Lane has this Americana yet modern adult contemporary sound going on with their single, “For The Sake (of Love).” The music reminds me of something you’d hear alongside a John Mellencamp tribute band. That’s also because you can hear the story unfolding in the lyrics as well. It’s got rock elements but they are not overbearing in the least. They come across as well timed and managed. The licks are refined and endearing.
