Quincy Mumford and the Reason Why have a lot of songs in their bag of tricks so let’s not waste any time and get right to the action. “Change” sounds like a sweet summer song with it’s laid back demeanor and light and airy ways. From that to the funked up “Under the Covers,” we hear the band getting down here. It’s like when John Mayer has his little jam sessions with his friends on stage and it lasts like 20 minutes, but you love every second. We slow it down and head into a more demure area with “Time Won’t Wait.” It’s clear that Quincy Mumford and the Reason Why would be a hit if they hit the stage with the likes of Mayer and even Jason Mraz with “Madeline.” This band from New Jersey sounds more like they’re from somewhere out west, where the sands are perfection and the waves crash down on summer days when they’re penning their next greatest tune.
