New Jersey is a musical haven having given the world everything from the ‘80s darling Jon Bon Jovi to the emo kings of the new millennium, My Chemical Romance. Now sitting somewhere in the middle of that rock spectrum is the alternative outlet Earthman. “Atheon’s Revenge” could be a b-side on a Bush record. It has that ‘90s alternative vibe going on that’s very strong. It’s able to grab listeners within a few seconds. With “Redesign,” the audience is given a little more pep in the musical step. It’s like if you took the Bush elements of the first and tossed them in with some Queens of the Stone Age. Then in “Pale” comes something that doesn’t sound like either of the previous. It has a more mainstream feel, like it could play well outside of the rock realm. Lastly, “Discovery” continues to play into what “Pale” was doing. with the ability to crossover thanks to its energy. Nevertheless, if you’re a fan of Bush or Queens of the Stone Age, check out Earthman’s tunes today. (https://soundcloud.com/earthmanmusic)
