Los Angeles, CA — May 31st, 2022- Chronic Dream is a new up-and-coming artist who defines his musical inclinations as both cinematic and diverse, adding a fresh wave of talent into an industry saturated with redundant content. The composer uses the musical medium as the one sure way of enveloping the audience’s attention with beautiful symphonies and deep melodies all of which add to the listener’s musical experience.

The rising star’s music is especially unique because it is not just instrumental and cinematic but also diverse in a way in which it is hard to pin down the artist’s musical style. Chronic Dream tries to use bits and pieces of the musical eras that have inspired a drive and passion; amalgamating all these personal favorites gives birth to a collection of music that stands distinct from any standardized categorizations.

A complex but enduring blend of the gothic and 1980s alternative past, the motivated musician tries to create mixes that make the music relevant and relatable to the masses. Newer formulas lead to newer creations and newer creations open the door for innumerable possibilities. The aspiring composer wishes to simply be heard through the dream-like medium employed by him.

The album ‘Into the Night’, released on February 4th, 2022, is an album that was composed, recorded, and mixed by David A Burgess, experientially being done all on the iPad Pro with diligence and love. Additionally, Edward Colver, the American music photographer, created the album cover for ‘Into the Night’ with artistic creativity and proficiency.

The enchanting quality of this music makes one drift away in their imagination while making others sentimental and nostalgic about their past. Some other listeners have even said the music feels dreamy, cinematic, and unreal in a way in which it is reminiscent of the past and excited for the future.

ABOUT

Coming out of a 10-year hiatus from music, Chronic Dream is making waves with the new style and form of music that is being produced. The artist started as a teenager co-founding and playing keyboards in a local LA Gothic band named Scarlet 1993 with passion and ambition for the future. He played at the Troubadour, Roxy, and Whisky A Go-Go, and opened for such acts as Eva O and Rozz Williams of Christian Death. These performances helped refine Dream’s musical giving immense foresight to this field.

The musician then went on to change his musical style and do other projects which included composing music for film students at Chapman University on a volunteer basis. From the late ’90s until 2010, David A Burgess had a new project named Chronic Dream. This electronic, instrumental and cinematic music project gives off a moody, and dark vibe that is meant for daydreams and illusion all of which cement the artist as a notable addition to the music industry.
