Ismonic Riffs It Up

Ismonic Riffs It UpThere are few bands out today that are able to capture what was great about the decades that came before them. Ismonic is one of those bands. Their rock is like that of a 90s alternative band, but they are still modern enough in sound that they are comparable to acts like Incubus and Hoobastank. Their Facebook offers up four tracks, and as a bonus those same four tracks are offered again in a live format. The System has that 90s college-alt radio station style, while Golden Calf screams Lollapalooza. Golden Calf also takes on religion when it asks “Tell me who is your god?” It is a lot to tackle in so little time with one song, but Ismonic were able to pull off the weighty subject. Inverted was a song that was built around their guitar riffs, and The Coming starts slow at first but picks up by the end to end in full on rock. If you like bands like the aforementioned Incubus and Hoobastank, then you will be into the sounds and ways of Lafayette, LA’s Ismonic. (https://www.facebook.com/Ismonic)
