Kaylee Keller – Christmas In Your Arms
What time of year is it, the holidays of course, but preferably Christmas, as online websites, retail stores in-person and online, showcasing their Christmas gear earlier, and earlier each year, dating back to even September if not as soon as Halloween time. But in any case the Christmas air is breathing deeply across the globe. Including in such instances as the music scene with country pop artist Kaylee Keller with her cover version of “Christmas In Your Arms”, featuring a duet with country singer Rusty Rierson. This Alabama classic hit, is one that you will not miss, because while it is very country driven, it still consists of that holiday spirit.
How so? Well the lyrical context for one, reminds you of the holiday spirit and season, thinking of the fire places burning brightly, this song playing in the background, as your house hold, wherever that may be, is decked out from the inside out, with Christmas and other holiday decor, just gets you all in the spirit from all over. It makes you really think about family and friends, the closet people in your life. Holding them tightly alongside you, as you listen to this tune, if not sharing a meal together, to putting out some more decor, to go along with the lines of other merchandise. It just keeps that vibe alive and well pretty much.
Like take other noticeable Christmas classics, like Mariah Carey’s most known song “All I Want For Christmas Is You”, or Kelly Clarkson’s “Underneath the Tree”, “Mistletoe” by Justin Bieber, while a lot of these are from the pop genre, they all still revolve around the Christmas holiday spirit and theme at hand. So no matter the genre, all of these artists can celebrate this wonderful time of year.
While pop may not be your thing, and country is since this single song is from a country artist, other artists from the country genre have done their share of Christmas songs, like Tim McGraw’s “Dear Santa”, Rebra McEntire’s “Up on the Housetop”, right down to Toby Keith’s ‘Santa I’m Right Here”, these acts bring out the holiday spirit, more so, with their own renditions of these beloved classics. Each version of the song in question, just has its own style and flare, and that’s what Kaylee Keller is doing with her own version of yet another song. It is fun, catchy, and outgoing, and just falls alongside all of these other acts, who are doing the same thing, except in their own ways.
Plus, this song is going towards a charity of all things, which is just great, what more could you want than to bring in the holiday cheer to even more people, by this song alone. So much so, that the physical copy of the CD that this song comes off of, an annual holiday compilation album, called “Kozy Kansas Christmas”, is quite valuable, so pick up one of those copies, unless you’re happy with your digital copy.
In any case, this song and its theme will surely bring out the happiness and pure joy and spirit of the holiday season, after listening to it, just once.
