If you are into music that is a well-sung pop with a blues, soul backbone, then Kip is for you. The south has done her vocals well because they are flawless as she sings about everything from love to life. Love Song is delivered with a soulful passion, while make your move has a more blues style to it. While they both may be about the same idea, each stand out. Whenever I hear an artist like Kip Traylor and a song like Waiting For You, I think…Where is Vh1 and their You Oughta Know people to scoop this up? I heard that adult contemporary sound that would make a Vh1 viewer smile. Waiting For You is perfection for the summer months, as is A Lot of Life to Live. That song was the most upbeat of the batch that I consumed of Kip Traylors music and the most delicious. It had this positive message of living life to the fullest and could really be just the thing to turn a dark day light again with one listen. She has a voice that is not light and airy, but a lower register that brings forth not only the soul of her songs, but a power behind them to make them stick out and go far.
