Reptiel will make spelling bee champions cringe because all they will want to do it make it say reptile. But musical folks who are into music that is a little out there will just continue to smile as they take in all Reptiel has to offer. Tunnel of Tomorrow is the first song you hear if you go in chronological order on their MySpace. With that you would think the rest would play like a tribute to a band from the 70s, but they do not. The remainder take on another two decades and fuse them into one; 60s and 80s. Mortals Sold as well as Known Knowns were both house of horror with their eerie ways, but if that is what you crave, then dig in. Mortals Sold has more of a New Wave meets industrial sound, while the other just played like a poster child for the decade. Things took a trippy turn once you got to the end and Nummer began. If the feeling of being numb made a sound, it would be this song. It was a psychedelic trip through sound waves and odd murmurs. Reptiel may never win any spelling competitions, but something tells me they are okay with that, but if they wanted an award for music most likely to make it on an 80s prom theme mix, they would have some good chanced taking home the gold.
