Swell Daze and Their SXSW Vibe

Swell Daze and Their SXSW VibeSwell Daze have not been making music long. They were high school buddies who banded together a couple years ago and now they are a full-fledged band that is ready to show the world what they are working with. What is that exactly? Well a mixture of classic rock run through a mill and intertwined with indie rock that could be heard during SXSW down in Austin. That was the vibe that was felt when listening to Between The Lines. With just a live demo, you can hear the authenticity. That same idea is spread throughout the rest of the tracks they graciously have about in the place you refer to as the internet. You get their rock feel with Lost In Your Head and Move, and even Eight Ball could be likened to a band that would do well on tour with bands like The Strokes. Sadly though, Tailspin is not the cartoon. Other than that let down, the songs were put together well and will remind people of some rock from the 90’s, that Foo Fighter’s Mentos parody comes to mind when Miss Understanding starts and finishes, and Swindle Me also has a feel of that decade as well. If you like what you hear when you frequent SXSW and hear the local rock bands, then check out Swell Daze. (https://www.reverbnation.com/rpk/swelldaze)
